The Showmen’s Guild took the opportunity to make a donation on behalf of its members, to the fund for the family of PC Andrew Harper, at the Civic Opening of Oxford St Giles Fair on Monday 9th September.
Showmen’s Guild Senior Vice President, John W. Thurston, made the presentation of the cheque to Supt Joe Kidman, Oxford City LPA Commander, Thames Valley Police.
Speaking of the donation from the Showmen’s Guild, Supt. Joe Kidman expressed his thanks on behalf colleague PC Harper’s family, for the Guild’s “very kind and generous donation to the fund.”
Supt Joe Kidman added that “It has been a very tough time for family, friends and colleagues, but the response from partners and the public has been very moving for all of us.”
Supt Joe Kidman also wished the Showmen well at Oxford St Giles Fair saying “Take care and have a great fair here this week in Oxford.”
